The Vice President of Construction reports to the President/CEO and plays a significant role in connecting all aspects of projects to ensure seamless execution and delivery. This position is open to candidates with at least twenty-five (25) years of heavy civil construction industry experience, five (5) years of which must be in a similar role. New York City metropolitan area experience and established relationships with NYC and Northern New Jersey Owners/Agencies and unions are required. Must also have design/build experience.

This position involves overseeing projects from conception to completion, focusing on meeting the project’s objectives within the constraints of time, budget, and quality. By coordinating between teams, stakeholders, and clients, the Vice President of Construction ensures that all parties are aligned with the project’s goals and ongoing progress. Responsibilities also include problem-solving and decision-making to navigate the complexities of each project. Through effective leadership, excellent organization, and communication skills the Vice President of Construction is expected to achieve successful project outcomes, by fostering client satisfaction and contributing to Yonkers Contracting’s commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Oversee current and upcoming Northern NJ Projects and new and upcoming NYC projects

• Contribute strategies that support company growth

• Relationship management with owners, designers, partners, contractors, and project teams

• Provide high-level oversight of projects from beginning to end

• As Project Ambassador, ensure owner’s expectations are exceeded

• Lead efforts toward financial profitability for projects under your jurisdiction

• Allocate resources effectively to maximize efficiency for project success

• Assist at all levels of each project including, but not limited to: bidding; planning;, pre-construction; budget control and health and safety

• Work closely with YCC’s main office Departments that assist and support field operations.

• Implement risk management strategies to identify potential project pitfalls and develop contingency plans to mitigate risk

• Foster a positive work environment that encourages team collaboration, innovation, and growth.

Salary Range: $300K-$350K plus bonus (bonus based on company and individual performance)
