**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Family Law Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in all aspects of family law cases, from initial client intake to final resolution.
**Responsibilities:**
- Conduct legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and correspondence
- Appear for hearings, mediations, depositions, and status conferences
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Manage caseload
- Prepare discovery requests and responses
- Develop case strategies
- Negotiate settlements and agreements
- Conduct client meetings and consultations
**Requirements:**
- Active NC Bar License (will not consider those sitting for the NC Bar or attempting to waive
into the jurisdiction)
- 1-3 years of family law experience in the Triangle area
- Willingness to travel to Wake, Durham, Franklin and Johnston Counties
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures related to family law
- Strong research and writing skills
- Proficiency with Odyssey and e-filing
- Ability to draft legal documents accurately and efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines consistently
- Experience with contemporaneous billing through Clio or other case management software
