Each colleague’s Mission is their guiding principle of action, and respect, influence and success having to be built based on each colleague’s competency, integrity, effort, persistence, and straight-forward persuasiveness.California Sun Grower Services has an immediate need for two colleagues to work in the parts area of our agricultural equipment shop in Arbuckle, CA. These positions will be seasonal (temporary), with the possibility to become full time. The Mission: Purchase and sell products and/or services that add the most value to the enterprise. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Parts Department:

Maintain customer goodwill by greeting and acknowledging all customers & vendors.
Assume responsibility to keep parts department clean and orderly.
Verify and record all sales and/or transactions.
Timely provide mechanics with parts as required.
Control parts room inventory to ensure correct items on hand when needed.
Maintain all parts in parts tracking system - accurately and timely.
Perform routine housekeeping tasks to maintain and enhance the cleanliness of parts in the parts room.
Anticipate parts requirements throughout the year (transplant season, harvest season, and overhaul) and identify long-lead time parts – coordinate inventory and ordering strategy with group leaders.
Follow up on all shortages.
Regular reporting (at least monthly) to group leaders on parts usage and R&M costs – per machine.
Periodic inventory audits (no less than quarterly) to ensure that inventory is accurate, and all parts usage is being accounted for.
Knowledge of parts needed to plant and harvest tomatoes is a plus.

Schedule - Please note - this position does have seasonal hours and travel:

Off-season - M-F 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
During season (July - October, generally) - 6:00 - 6:00 (with rotation onto night shifts), 6 days per week.

Customer Service:

Treat customers fairly and with honesty and demonstrate our excellence through commitment and ethical business practices.

Wage: Starting wage is expected to be between $19.00 and $22.00 per hour.
Physical Demands:

Requires the use of both hands.
Frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, handle tools and lift more than 80 lbs.

Parts are not permitted to stay on the ground for more than 4 hours in receiving area.

Around the clock coverage during the harvest season (24/7) must be flexible to work nights and weekends as per an agreed upon schedule.
Take on new responsibilities that are reasonable and necessary for the effective operation of the Cal-Sun parts department.

Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Ability to effectively listen.
Basic computer skills.
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
Good organizational skills.
Clean DMV record.
