Moorings Park is currently seeking on-call Private Duty Companion’s, HHA’s, and CNA’s to work in Home Health. These positions are on-call and have a flexible schedule. Must have a strong desire to provide compassionate care to our clients. 

Contributions:

• Follow the patient's care plan while providing companionship and casual grooming assistance. 
• Provide escort services such as taking the patient to the doctor.
• Provide light housekeeping tasks such as preparation of a meal or laundering the patient's personal garments, mending, changing bed linens and cleaning cupboards while maintaining a safe, clean environment. 
• Reads to patient, assists in bill payment, scheduling appointments and making transportation arrangements as needed.

HHA / CNA Contributions:

• Performs only those personal care activities contained in a written assignment by a qualified health professional employee, which shall include but shall not be limited to assisting the client with personal hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, and shaving.
• Ensures that the client receives adequate nutrition including preparing the client for meals and assisting the client as necessary. Encourages and offers fluids to provide adequate oral intake.
• Performs light housekeeping tasks such as laundering of the clients’ personal garments, dish washing and vacuuming.
• Provides escort services such as transporting the client to the doctor or other appointment.

Job Requirements:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language required.
• During emergencies or natural disasters may be required to be on duty for the duration of the disaster.
• Valid Driver’s License and proof of car insurance.
• High school education preferred.
• Previous companion experience in home health, hospital, of nursing home preferred, however, an individual who has managed a household or family could also be considered experienced to qualify.
• Florida State Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide Certification preferred but not necessary. Will train.
