The Montessori House of St Johns is a strong, supportive, and vibrant community that serves families with children, 1 through 6 years of age. We are currently interviewing for a Teacher Assitant/Floater. In addition to the descriptions below, all applicants should have experience working with young children (and love it!) and have or be able to obtain: fingerprint clearance, CPR/First Aid, training in Child Abuse/Neglect, and an Oregon Food Handler’s permit.
The floater position would start in July, 2023. This is an entry level position in which you will work in all environments (toddler and preschool) to cover breaks and support lead teachers. This position could be from 30-40 hours a week, depending on the candidate's skill set and qualifications. Possible schedules include 10:00-3:00 or 8:00-4:00. We can be flexible and will accommodate the schedule for the right candidate. This role often leads to classroom assistant or other teaching positions.
