The MITRE Naval Aviation Systems Department’s (N233) mission is to advance Naval Aviation solutions with urgency, ensuring warfighter dominance against current and future adversaries in defense of our nation. This is accomplished by delivering timely, effective, and sustainable capabilities to ensure the warfighter’s mission success and safe return home.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the point of contact to the Department Manager and project leaders for the six projects under the Naval Aviation portfolio supporting NAVAIR.
  • Work across the organization to ensure strategic implementation and efficient, effective business operations to include budgeting, spending profiles, contractual documentation, security clearance requests, purchase agreements and workforce hiring.
  • Collaborate with project leadership to shape and implement vision, goals, objectives, strategies, measures, and roadmaps, and establish management systems that drive organizational performance.
  • Maintain and coordinate business development and sponsor engagement materials and schedules.
  • Liaise with program executive office government project leads to execute CECOM required processes and associated reports.
  • Respond to MITRE department, division and center level data calls as they pertain to portfolio commitments and execution status.
  • Coordinate department technical quality strategy by maintaining project repositories, generating quarterly performance reports, and reviewing deliverables.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business discipline, or relevant experience who can contribute immediately at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Experience supporting management and business operations to drive organizational performance.
  • Experience creating and reviewing reports or deliverables
  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid onsite presence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline
  • 5-8 years relevant experience
  • Active Secret Clearance
