Department Summary:
The Airborne Battle Management and Command and Control (ABMC2) department is seeking a skilled systems engineer with expertise in aircraft avionics and an interest in joing our dynamic department to assist in defining the future of airspace sharing and utilization. Our sponsors seek our engineering expertise to chart future navigation requirements to ensure their military aircraft have the required capabilities and performance to effectively operate in and across the National and International Airspace. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of airborne navigation systems, including their certification, and both U.S. and international civil and military aviation standards. Having an understanding of Identification Friend and Foe (IFF) systems is a plus. As part of the ABMC2 team, you will work with U.S. and international partners to enhance the effectiveness of airborne platforms to operate safely and assist in shaping future navigation systems and standards. This role offers the opportunity to provide innovative system engineering support to BMC2 and Global Flight Operations (GFO), and to contribute to mission requirements analysis and technology tradeoffs.
