Job Opening: Courier

Worksite Location: 48 Red Hill Court, Newport, PA

Status: Part-time

Work Schedule: Up to three days a week, between 4 and 6 hours per day. Shifts start at 9:00am on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

As a Pharmacy Courier, you'll be an essential part of our team, helping us deliver life-enhancing medications and health products to people who depend upon it. You'll be the face of our organization, delivering medications and health products with the highest level of professionalism and care. You will be accountable for timely, courteous, and safe delivery of prescription medications and OTC products from our pharmacy in Newport to customers in Central Pennsylvania. A typical shift starts at the pharmacy, covers up to 100 miles with multiple stops at customer facilities before returning to the pharmacy at the end of the shift. Typical responsibilities associated with this position are:

• At-home delivery of medications and supply orders
• Collect applicable out of pocket payments due upon delivery as directed.
• Promote special advertised sales and pharmacy services.
• Maintain proper care, fueling, maintenance, and safe operation of company vehicle(s) including cleanliness and appearance.
• Support resolution of customer questions, problems, or complaints through communication with pharmacy staff on each incident.

A company-owned vehicle is provided for the performance of this job and available during work hours only.

In addition to being organized, thorough, attentive to detail, an effective communicator, and customer oriented the right person for this position will also have:

• Valid standard drivers license in the state of primary operation
• At least 21 years old
• Knowledge and practice of roadway rules of safe operation and defensive driving techniques

Prior to beginning work, successful applicants must complete a background check consisting of criminal records check, Medicare/Medicaid exclusions check, employment verification, education verification, drug test, licensure/certification verification, and DMV motor vehicle record check, as applicable.
