Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team. The primary responsibilities of this position is to manage the daily operation and MCS staff of the University campus mail and receiving center. The MCS Shift Lead serves as a service representative for both faculty, administration and students of the University in receiving, sorting and distributing mail and packages throughout the campus.

Duties:

• Oversee daily operations during assigned shifts
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly
• Manage inventory and ordering supplies as needed
• Sorts all faculty and university USPS and interoffice mail
• Researches all mystery mail and redirects to appropriate department
• Delivers mail throughout the University campus using company vehicle
• Posts all outgoing mail
• Scans and tracks all inbound packages
• Delivers packages addressed to faculty members throughout the University
• campus and receives signatures
• Provides retail customer service at Student Services Window
• Handles customer service inquiries regarding inbound packages and mail
• Processes outgoing packages
• Skills:

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
Knowledge of arithmetic, English and grammar obtained through high school education

• Two (2) years related experience in mail operations preferred
• Accuracy in checking, posting, counting, and operation of office equipment
• Good oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
• Proficient with package tracking systems
• Valid US Driver’s License
• Strong client focus and ability to interact with clients at all levels
• Strong customer service skills in dealing with students, including international students
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize work

Work Environment:

• Ability to work productively as a member of a team while in the center
• Ability to work independently while distributing mail and packages around the campus
• Ability to adapt to changing demands of the client
• Ability to work independently 80% of the time
• Ability to maintain professional behavior in a University campus environment
• May be directly or indirectly involved in student services
• May work outdoors in any weather condition, including driving a vehicle in any weather conditions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
