The May Center School for Brain Injury and Neurobehavioral Disorders in Norwood is looking for a Relief Teacher Assistant to work in a classroom setting providing services to children with brain injuries and neurological disorders.

The schedule is 9am-3:30pm PER DIEM. Some flexibility is available on these hours.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students in the areas of academics, self-care (ADLs), and vocational tasks
• Teach skill development and community integration
• Assist individuals in meeting their personal care such as toileting, bathing, and assisting with nutritional needs
• Assist in behavioral interventions
• Participate in the development of IEP objectives and document student progress

Qualifications:

• High school Diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age
• Experience in a school or other human services setting is preferred
