The Paralegal is responsible for completing all assigned duties under the supervision and direction of their managing attorney. The Paralegal also acts as a liaison between clients and the attorney to ensure outstanding communication and case organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of personal injury law and case management strategies
  • Providing compassion and professionalism to clients and other outside parties
  • Transcribe correspondence, pleadings, and discovery requests/responses
  • Comply with Court/discovery deadlines
  • Proactive documentation of all/any work done on a case
  • Corresponding with counsel about matters
  • Act as liaison between attorneys, clients, and witnesses
  • Gather, organize, summarize, and index documents from various sources
  • Provide logistical support, including filing legal documents or collecting legal documents at a variety of venues
  • Drafting and filing motions, pleadings, and other court documents
  • Organizing and summarizing medical bills and medical records
  • Constantly updating case medical expenses.
  • Schedule depositions and mediations

Requirements:

  • Paralegal certification from an accredited university
  • Superb oral and written communication skills
  • Punctual - excellent time-management
  • Naturally forward driven, constantly takes initiative
  • Problem solving
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Creative and curious – always seeking greater knowledge
  • Must be tech forward, knowledge of EsquireTek, written discovery automation software a plus
  • Bilingual Spanish/English a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
