The Manor at Blue Water Bay is Hiring a Registered Nurse (RN)/ Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - $10,000 Sign-On Bonus Near Niceville, FL

The Manor at Blue Water Bay, the only locally owned and operated long-term care facility, is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses to deliver care to residents or patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.

  • Available Shift: EVENING (3PM-11PM) and NIGHT (11PM-7AM)
  • Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

The Registered Nurses (RN) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering care to residents/patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation; effectively interacts with residents/patients, family members, and other health team members while maintaining the standards of professional nursing.

YOUR ROLE:

The Registered Nurse (RN)/ Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering care to residents/patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation; effectively interacts with residents/patients, family members, and other health team members while maintaining the standards of professional nursing.

  • Ability to learn, absorb, and apply technical training, and the ability to prepare and administer treatment or medication and keep records in prescribed manner.
  • Ability to perceive differences in patient behavior and recognize symptoms and the ability to communicate: effectively in writing, by telephone, and in personal contacts.
  • Ability to organize work procedures, assume responsibility, and tactfully supervise others.
  • Assume responsibility for safe administration of medications and treatments.
  • Coordinate nursing activities with the activities of other departments. Admit new patients.
  • Make frequent rounds to verify that appropriate nursing care (according to established policies and procedures is provided; note any changes in a patient’s condition; intervene to correct problems observed.
  • Assist physician during rounds.
  • Maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each patient. Assist patients to attain highest level of self-care possible.
  • Relieve other shifts if needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor’s School of Nursing, or vocational nursing
  • Licensed to practice in this state.
  • Proof of current CPR certification 
  • Participate in continuing education so that she/he has knowledge of current trends and new developments in nursing and meets state requirements.
  • Compassionate, friendly demeanor 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Current driver’s license and reliable transportation 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally
