The Malvern School is Hiring a Summer Camp Operations Support Staff 2024 Near Mills, PA
Malvern Day Camp is a traditional day camp looking for a fun, qualified individual to join our team as a Facilities employee.
Camp runs from mid June to late August 2024. During camp, hours will be 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Malvern Day Camp is located in Glen Mills, PA. We serve campers ranging in age from 5 to 14.
General Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain program equipment, such as picnic tables, water coolers, bathrooms, locker rooms, etc.
- Ensure that buildings and grounds are kept clean.
- Maintain safety standards for all campers and staff.
- Notify Camp Director of issues related to grounds, supplies, and equipment.
- Track use of paper goods.
- Collect and remove garbage from the interior and exterior of camp facilities.
- Ensure that equipment is brought in from fields each day.
- Be conscious of and protect the health, safety and welfare of all campers in any areas or programs at camp.
- Be able to assist campers and staff in an emergency.
- Attend all mandatory camp meetings and staff training events.
- Participate enthusiastically in all camp activities.
Requirements:
- Light maintenance and janitorial skills experience (preferred)
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Valid Driver’s License
- Minimum of 18 years’ old
