Newborn Screening Nurse Coordinator (Program Coordinator II)
The purpose of this position is to comply with the ASC Contract to assure follow up and education referral and
consultation within the designated contact area.
This is a position that requires time sensitive follow up of confidential HIPAA protected information
Minimum Qualifications :
Responsibilites :
Provides follow up and tracks all complex positive newborn screens; facilitates referrals for parents
to physician offices, clinics, CCS Special Care Centers, or CCS-paneled specialists.
Provides follow up and tracks all verifications, inadequate screens, and early screens as needed,
including screens drawn post transfusion and TPN cases.
Reviews PEP reports and evaluates needs for in-services and site visits.
Coordinates all development / educational needs for assigned hospitals / providers.
Develops corrective action plans (CAPs) for assigned hospitals / providers as needed.
