The LunchMaster is Hiring a Warehouse Unloader Near Hayward, CA

Department: Distribution Center
Location: Hayward, CA
FLSA: Nonexempt

SUMMARY
To prepare, load, assemble, deliver and pickup items for schools and catered events. It may be necessary to assist with an alternate route. This position is also involved with the set-up, cleanup and distribution of meals and drinks on the school campus. This position includes onsite purchases, receipts, and professional interaction with school staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Load truck completely and verify that all products and correct quantities for Delivery are present. (i.e, warming cabinets, coolers, binder etc).
Verify that correct meal, drink, and side quantities are present per school.
Unload truck, pack leftover meals and prepare for tomorrows load.
Counting meals and notifying office immediately if issues arise
Immediate communication with The LunchMaster office regarding issues related to food service, missing items, complaints, or equipment malfunction.
Safe operation of food service equipment
Some interaction with the Health Dept. may be required.
Follow Health & Safety Guidelines (handout provided)
Maintain clean trucks, empty personal items, and garbage upon your exit.
Additional deliveries may be required.
Unload incoming trucks.
Keep track of incoming inventory.
Assist with warehouse picking and loading outgoing trucks as needed.
Use a forklift or pallet jack to transport large items.
Check for correct labeling.
Other duties assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. This position requires a valid CA drivers license (class C), a clean DMV record, personal cell phone for emergencies and a Bluetooth/headset while driving the company vehicle.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
This position requires punctuality due to the tight timeframes required per school. Must have strong interpersonal skills, and demonstrated integrity. Must maintain a positive attitude in highly stressful environment. Able to work with minimal supervision in a team oriented environment. Requires initiative and a proactive approach to job responsibilities. Requires excellent communication and organizational skills, and must be capable of handling distribution in a timely manner. Must be able to communicate in an acceptable manner with all levels of the organization. Experience driving large box trucks preferable.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal) and the ability to interpret written and verbal requests as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position involves standing for prolonged periods of time and some repetitive motion. Driver must be able to lift 65 lbs or more.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is split between The LunchMaster and a professional school setting. The environment can be fast paced and hectic with a high volume of work.
