Are you an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Litigation Paralegal? You might be an excellent fit for The Lovely Law Firm. We are expanding our practice to include Employment Law, and are seeking someone with a strong litigation background. You will draft briefs, create legal documents such as affidavits, do legal research for trial preparation, and maintain case files and other critical materials organized and easily accessible. We need someone with experience involving labor disputes, contract negotiations, discrimination, and health/safety issues. If you want to further your paralegal career, we want to hear from you. $22 - $25 hourly

• Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits
• Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems
• Arrange law office activity such as drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers
• Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed
• Work with lawyers to prepare for trial by conducting research on legal articles, preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings

• Create legal pleadings, communications, and documents such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits with the assistance of the attorney
• File legal documents with the appropriate courts and agencies
• Provide administrative support such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and answering telephone calls
• Proofread documents for accuracy and completeness
• Interview clients and witnesses
• Collect information from employers and insurance providers
• Assisting the attorney in court

• At least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
• Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred
• Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills
• Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired
• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Familiarity with employment law (EEO/OFCCP) preferred
• Employment Law experience preferred
