Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the Maintenance Technician role is responsible for performing preventative and routine maintenance work to ensure that the hotel is maintained to a level consistent with The Loren’s standards. This is achieved through attentiveness, anticipation, courteousness, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

· Perform preventative and repair maintenance work to ensure hotel is maintained according to established quality and sustainability standards while treating guests in a warm and friendly manner

· Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders as assigned

· Install or repair wall coverings

· Paint designated areas and items

· Replace basic electrical fixtures, light switches, receptacles, light bulbs, and fixtures

· Perform minor plumbing functions

· Perform other duties as requested by leadership

· Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up-to 50 pounds, bending, and reaching, kneeling, stooping, crawling, and climbing

· Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment

Qualifications:

· 2 years maintenance experience preferred

· Previous experience in hotels preferred

· Comfortability communicating with guests in English

· Ability to work a flexible schedule is required
