We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young children and creating a positive learning environment. If you have experience working in a daycare, a love for teaching, and a desire to make a difference in the lives of children, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Gain a positive, hands-on experience teaching, mentoring, and inspiring young minds!
• Assist the Preschool Supervisor as needed.
• In order to best accommodate LMACCC staff, full-time teachers will work two early shifts per week, two late shifts per week, and one rotating shift per week. Early shifts are from 7 am-3 pm and late shifts are 10 am-6 pm.
• Provide an encouraging, welcoming, and safe environment that meets the needs of young children.
• Assist in planning and implementing daily activities and curriculum to help promote positive social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Encourage and foster positive relationships, interactions, and communication between staff parents, and children.
• Serve as a supportive member of our team both in the classroom and within LMACCC.
• Participate in fun staff events such as "yoga day" in order to foster a positive environment.

Requirements:

• Preschool EEC certification required.
• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Candidates must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 to ensure compliance with enhanced health and safety protocols.
• Demonstrated experience working with children; child care, daycare, or preschool preferred.
• Previous professional teaching experience a plus!

• Excellent team player; flexible.
• Ready to learn! Openness to new ideas and/or approaches.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
• Excellent communications skills with the ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, physically lift a minimum of 35 pounds, participate in physical activities including walking with children, go up and down stairs while supervising children, and always maintain full sight and sound supervision of children.
