LiRo is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Resident Engineer/Chief Inspector for a high-profile $200M project in lower Manhattan. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate work of multiple contractors
• Interface with client
• Monitor project schedule and budget
• Oversee and coordinate inspection of work for compliance with plans, codes, standards as well as for compliance with schedules and deadlines
• Work with the project team on ensuring quality and safety on the job site
• Provide regular status reports to senior management team
• Perform independent cost estimates for contractor change order proposals
• Manage and oversee inspections staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• PE a but not required
• Construction project management experience
• Strong communication skills at multiple project levels ranging from tradespeople to client or facility executives
• Public sector experience a big
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience with earthwork and deep foundation installations
• Experience with site utility installation and relocations
