We are actively seeking a Mechanical Field Engineer/Inspector for transit projects in New York City.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction quality assurance inspections of building mechanical systems
• Monitors contractor operations and verifying conformance with project plans and specifications
• Serves as the on-site inspector for construction work performed by the contractor and sub-contractors
• Interacts with the construction contractor’s site supervision on field activities to ensure compliance with the construction contract requirement
• Provides daily inspection reports and coordinate and code compliance and commissioning requirements

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineer or related field of study
• 5 years of experience in construction inspection on building mechanical systems or major transportation infrastructure projects for public agencies
• New York City Transit Experience a
• Pre-Engineered Building fit-out experience a
• Experience in gantry crane and hydraulic lift installation a
• OSHA-30 and New York City Transit track safety training preferred
• Good written and verbal communication skills and solid organization planning skills

- Compensation: Minimum: $100,000; Maximum: $108,000
