JOB TITLE: Accounting Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Finance

We are looking for an Accounting Coordinator to join our team.

The Accounting Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the accounting department by monitoring and approving the financial processing, reporting, auditing, and directing of the accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial concepts and possess knowledge of accounting principles. The Accounting Coordinator is a working member of the accounting team and fills in wherever the need is and can identify and correct where there are any shortfalls.

General Accounting Functions:

· Oversee the daily transactions for Accounts Receivable/ Payable

· Compile data and prepare a variety of reports.

· Perform filing and general administrative tasks.

· Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or issues.

· Ability to cover accounting department vacations and time-off.

· Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

· Other duties and functions as necessary for the business

Qualifications:

· Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task is necessary.

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

· Ability to problem solve.

· Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are a must.

· Organizational, verbal, and written communication skills are a must.

· Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

· Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience.

Hours: Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
