Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Ensure our workplace facilities are always looking and operating in impeccable and perfect condition
  • Support the continuous improvement of our workplace experience and facility services by driving implementation of industry leading practices and innovation initiatives
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations as well as ensuring a structured and caring leadership approach of a team with focus on well-being, success and motivation
  • Create a vibrant community, support organizing engagement events and maintain online engagement platforms
  • Proactive approach to key stakeholder management both internally externally (i.e. with external facility service partner)
  • Collaborate closely across the globe with your internal workplace community and external facility service partner to ensure sharing of best practices and driving consistency
  • Work closely with the Hub Council consisting of Senior Management as well as stakeholders across the business
  • Occasional travel and support needed as we close and decommission our old site located in Enfield, CT

Our new Boston Hub (opening in 2025) is looking for the person to open the Hub and manage the day-to-day operations in this new location. This is the pioneer of the LEGO workplace strategy called LEGO Ways of Working (LWOW).

In order to achieve this, we are looking for an engaging and experienced workplace specialist who will create a great sense of community fostering the LEGO culture while leading a team of LEGO Hub Hosts and our external facility services provider. Responsibilities will be to manage the operational workplace of the Boston Hub and to give employees a great work experience every single day. This is front of house where key stakeholders will come from many different cultures and will be at all levels, so a positive service-minded approach and a role-model for others is key.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Experience as a people leader
  • In-depth facility management experience across large/ dual/multiple-site locations
  • Experience managing an external facility service partner – both operationally and performance, preferably an IFM (Integrated Facility Management) provider would be beneficial
  • Significant exposure to a facility management function in a large international organization
  • Experience working in employee engagement and community building projects
  • Strong communication with the ability to work with and navigate a diverse group of stakeholders up to the highest level

Additional details on this position

  • This position will initially be based at 501 Boylston St, Back Bay, before moving to a new office location at 1001 Boylston St by the mid-2025. Our hiring teams will discuss this with you during the interview stages.

  • The salary for this position has a range of $97,000 - $146,000 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The definitive compensation may vary in alignment with the selected candidate’s professional background, experience, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.
