Duties:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the childcare facility
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lessons to promote early childhood education and development
- Create and maintain a structured daily schedule for children, including meal times, nap times, and play times
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play activities to ensure their safety
- Monitor and assist with personal hygiene tasks, such as diaper changing and handwashing
- Collaborate with parents to address any concerns or issues regarding their child's well-being
- Maintain accurate records of each child's progress, behavior, and any incidents that occur during the day
Qualifications:
- A degree or certification in early childhood education or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in daycare settings
- Experience in lesson planning and implementing educational activities for young children
- Familiarity with physical education techniques suitable for young children
- Understanding of child welfare guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe environment
- Strong behavior management skills to address challenging behaviors effectively
- Experience working with students who may require early intervention or additional support
