The Learning Tree, Inc. of Alabama is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Tallassee, AL

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: shall include but is not limited to the following:

  • Assist in maintenance of student medical records; including setting up files for all new students and accurately document all medical care ordered and provided
  • Accurate administration of medications in timely manner
  • Assist in preparation of all necessary paperwork for medical appointments
  • Assist in monitoring of individuals' vital signs (weight, blood pressure, etc.) and accurately document results
  • Assist with inventory of medications at all residential sites
  • Accompany students to medical appointments when necessary
  • Ensure medical service providers complete consultation forms needed for each office visit
  • Assist in preparation of medical summary forms to document the outcome of each medical visit in a timely manner

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Minimum of 90 college credit hours, 2 years' experience in human services field, or 5 years' work experience; good driving record preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal standards
