Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Child Care Director to oversee our child care center. The Child Care Director will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the center, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children, and leading a team of dedicated child care professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with licensing regulations and industry best practices
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate child care staff
- Collaborate with parents to ensure open communication and address any concerns or questions
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational programs and activities
- Monitor budgets, expenses, and enrollment numbers to ensure financial sustainability
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incident reports, and other required documentation
- Stay up-to-date with current trends and research in early childhood education
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in an educational setting
- Experience in higher education teaching or education administration is preferred
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members
- Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and administrative tasks
Education:
- CDA or higher
