Seeking a Paralegal

We are an entrepreneurial law firm on track for aggressive growth. We need an experienced paralegal to join our team and be a superstar. The paralegal will work directly with the owners and attorneys to support the team and help our clients.

We want to be known for helping our clients emerge from an extremely emotional process feeling as though they are a better person, in a better position, and that they have a team behind them that really cares and fights for them. We are growing fast, and we need a Paralegal who can hit the ground running.

Job duties:

· Communicate with clients and experts.

· Monitor case progress, deadlines, and essential timeframes.

· Draft documents, indexes, and chronologies; prepare contracts; draft letters and court documents; fill out legal forms; write reports, etc.

· Help attorneys prepare cases for hearings.

· Research laws and judicial decisions about current as well as past cases.

· Maintain records in the case management system and digital filing.

You must have experience. While we love to help people learn and grow, we don’t have time for that right now. We need a Paralegal with experience in civil litigation. The ideal candidate will be able to take initiative on work that needs to be done and complete tasks with minimal hand-holding. A minimum of 4 years of experience working at a law firm with at least 2 years of experience as a litigation Paralegal.

This is a full-time job where you are expected to manage a caseload for 40 hours per week. During the first 90 days of employment, the pay will be $25.00-$30/per hour commensurate with experience, with opportunities for increase afterward. For those who can demonstrate profitability, there is an opportunity for bonus compensation, health care benefits, and a 401 (K).
