Litigation experience in a fast-paced environment

Small law firm in Boca Raton practicing in a variety of civil litigation fields seeks Paralegal/Legal Assistant. Great opportunity to earn hands on experience in family law, business contract and dispute resolution, foreclosure, agriculture law, real estate, and other types of civil litigation in a very positive and caring environment.

Responsibilities for Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant include:

· maintaining calendar, deadlines

· preparing various pleadings, notices and responses to discovery,

· setting hearing dates, depositions and mediations

· preparing materials required by attorneys for hearing,

· e-filing throughout the state of Florida and federal courts,

· working with time keeping systems,

· maintaining virtual and paper case files,

· scanning all documents that relate to client files,

· any other tasks/projects as assigned by attorneys or office manager.

Qualifications for Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant:

· Courteous, dependable, and responsible

· Must have at least five years of experience as a paralegal, with at least a year in Florida

· Ability to prioritize and multitask

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Strong attention to detail

· Strong organizational skills

· Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Adobe, Excel and Outlook and have some experience using practice software (we use Cosmolex)

Compensation for Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant:

Starting at 50-56k with the potential for the right candidate / high performer to increase earnings in the near future.

Pay: Up to $56,000.00 per year
