Job Summary

Well-established and fast-growing general practice law firm seeking an aspiring Mandarin speaking real estate transaction attorney or law clerk.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Conducting title searches and ensuring the property's title is clear
• Advising clients on legal matters related to real estate transactions
• Negotiating terms and conditions of real estate deals on behalf of clients
• Handling closings, including coordinating with lenders, title companies, and other parties involved
• Resolving disputes or legal issues that arise during the transaction process
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal real estate laws and regulations
• Providing legal counsel regarding zoning, land use, and environmental issues
• Representing clients in litigation related to real estate transactions if necessary
• Facilitating communication between all parties involved in the transaction, including buyers, sellers, agents, and lenders.

Qualifications and Skills

Successful candidates must have strong legal research and writing skills; must have law related professional degree. Admission to practice in the State of New York is preferred. Experience in real estate transaction is required.

Proficiency in Mandarin is required.

Benefits

Salary commensurate with experience. Experienced from $60k/year, and after probation $80k/year.
