The Law Office of Brandon White, PLLC is a small, but fast-growing statewide multi-practice law firm in based in Gilbert, Arizona but we serve statewide. We are seeking a Paralegal – Criminal Defense Division who has a passion for criminal defense.

Our Firm helps our clients plan ahead and put their lives back on track. We are a small, fast-paced, and quickly growing law firm. We are seeking a dynamic individual who truly understands what it means that to treat our clients like family and to put our client’s needs first in order to provide our clients with a world class experience. Our clients need to feel like their legal concerns are our priority and our support staff is a critical part of that.

We are not your typical law firm. We are poised for aggressive growth, and we’re looking for an experienced Paralegal, preferably with who can provide direct support to our Criminal Defense Attorneys, and who can hit the ground running to give our clients outstanding representation. Special Consideration given to those with Criminal Defense Experience. You need to have strong analytical and communication skills and know your way around a courtroom.

The Job

· Maintain a Clean and Accurate Calendar of all Criminal Client matters using Firm Cloud-Based Software

· Follow-up with Courts statewide

· Drafting routine motions for Attorney Review and Approval this includes:

o Notice of Appearance

o Motion to Continue

o Motion to Modify Release Conditions

· Assist Attorneys during client meetings

· Assist Attorneys in legal research using WestLaw

· Provide direct administrtive support for felony and misdemeanor criminal cases: discovery, pleadings, and motions; pretrial hearings, motion hearings, and criminal trials.

· Occasional Statewide travel may be necessary

· Skills and experience are important and valued, but your personality, character, intelligence, and integrity are also extremely important considerations. Experience in criminal defense is preferred but work ethic and attitude are just as important.

· High-maintenance, humorless, self-entitled, or self-important individuals will not succeed in this position and need not apply.

· If you think the Constitution is a technicality, please don’t apply.

· If we can’t count on you to show up to work on-time, don’t apply.

· We are growing, and you will be called upon to wear many hats. We need someone who does not think that helping an another paralegal from another division or the occasional need to scan your own documents is “beneath you."

Salary

Salary is commensurate with skill and experience and is negotiable. Special Consideration given to those with Criminal Defense Experience. We offer a generous benefits package including 401K (with matching), health insurance, dental insurance and paid time off. We also pay for approved continuing legal education.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
