Are you an experienced individual within the Credit & Collections space? If so, you're in luck! LaSalle Network has partnered with a dynamic and growing company in their search for a Credit & Collections Analyst in Wheeling, Illinois!
This Credit & Collections Analyst role operates on a hybrid basis, requiring 4 days per week in office on a standard 8 : 30am-5 : 30pm schedule and offers a competitive salary between $58,000-$68,000 per year (based on experience).
Credit & Collections Analyst Responsibilities :
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers by analyzing financial data, credit reports and payment histories
- Proactively contact customers to secure payments on overdue invoices, employing effective negotiation and communication skills to resolve any outstanding issues
- Conduct regular reconciliations of customer accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies or billing errors
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports to identify potential credit risks and take appropriate actions to mitigate losses
- Prepare and present regular reports to management on collections activities, aging accounts and credit portfolio performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
Credit & Collections Analyst Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred, but not required
- 2 years of experience in credit analysis, collections or a similar role
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make sound judgments
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and resolve conflicts effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred
- Knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g., Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and D&B) is a plus
