Job Summary: Oversee all mechanical areas of the hotel to keep hotel functioning at top efficiency and in good repair.

Essential Functions:

• Manages Maintenance Department
• Hires and trains maintenance personnel.
• Schedules hours of work for department staff.
• Schedules workloads and work orders for all areas of the hotel and it’s equipment.
• Requisitions parts and items needed for maintenance, completion of work orders and general department supplies.
• Works within guidelines of budget.
• Attends weekly management meetings.
• Updates daily, Hotel Manager and General Manager with any outstanding maintenance issues.
• Coordinates schedule work activities with other department heads.
• Perform daily property checks.
• When required, assist the team with any requested guest room maintenance calls.
• Assist in preventative maintenance – batteries, belts, filters.
• Oversees daily water checks on swimming pool and hot tub and filtering system for positive health protection.
• Perform outside clean-up of property grounds.
• Coordinates outside contractors.
• Assists in checking fire protections systems for proper operation.
• Manages the hotel’s on-going preventative maintenance program and log.
• Maintains a log for all equipment repair.
• Maintains & manages all software to track preventative maintenance for critical systems, mechanical & refinishing/protecting FFE.
• Promotes and operational plan for implementation for impending storms.
• Assist in event function set ups and break downs.
• Assists in decorating the hotel for functions.
• Schedule availability to include day and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds comfortably.
• Performs any additional tasks that may be requested by the General Manager or Hotel Manager.
