The L.E. Smith Company is Hiring a 3rd Shift Fabricator Near Bryan, OH

L.E. Smith has been a manufacturer and distributor of high-quality countertops and surfaces since 1950. A lot has changed over the decades, but our commitment to our clients has never wavered.
An L.E Smith Fabricator plays a vital role in the success of our business. As a 3rd Shift Fabricator, you will work with a team to fabricate countertops, using a variety of hand tools. Such as routers, sanders, pneumatic staple guns, and hand files.
Responsibilities:
  • Operating sanders, miter saws, table saw, and routers
  • Cutting and assembling countertops to specified sizes
  • Cutting and applying build-up
  • Banding countertops
  • Fabrication of applied edge tops
  • Installation of sinks into countertops
  • Gluing and laying laminate
  • Cutting and finishing backsplashes.
  • Applying adhesive and silicone for solid surface tops
  • Filing/sanding and cleaning tops for final quality check
  • Basic CNC Machine operation
  • Assist in loading trucks as needed
  • Cleaning and maintaining work areas

Requirements of the Role:
  • Ability to lift and/or carry 50-80 lbs.
  • The ability to stand/walk for a minimum of 9 hours.
  • Must have good vision, color vision, hearing, speaking and finger dexterity skills.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, climb, kneel, reach, and push.
  • Ability to read, write, follow instructions, perform mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to read prints, a tape measure and operate hand tools.
  • Good Attendance
