Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician professional to join our team. As a Building Maintenance technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of our buildings and building systems. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong technical background and the ability to analyze and troubleshoot various systems.
Duties:
- Respond promptly to tenant issues and concerns and keep tenants updated on resolution of issues.
- Maintain mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs, ballasts & sockets, clean &
repair circuit breaker panels, etc.).
- Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
- Inspect alarm systems (fire, security) and schedule repairs when needed.
- Perform manual repairs when necessary.
- Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned.
- Performs scheduled preventative maintenance on building system.
- Maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
- Analyze and diagnose issues with building systems and equipment
- Perform field service calls to address maintenance requests or emergencies
Requirements:
- Proven experience in building maintenance or a related field
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems (including high voltage), and hydraulics
- Ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions
- Experience in field service or customer-facing roles is preferred
- Excellent technical skills with the ability to use precision measuring instruments
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
