Job Description

Job Purpose

As the Sr. Analyst Procurement - Risk & Governance, you will assist the North American Procurement team to improve and standardize how supplier risk is measured and interpreted. Your responsibilities include assessing supplier risks, developing risk mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance policies, and enhancing overall governance frameworks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze trends, and implement robust risk assessment tools to optimize procurement processes and safeguard Kraft Heinz's interests. You will collaborate with our digital procurement area to embed third-party risk management (TPRM) practices as a component of our digital roadmap. You will support improving the quality and accessibility of risk intelligence solutions across our NA team to help make informed decisions with our business partners.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of supplier risks, evaluating financial, Cybersecurity, Compliance, Reputational, Environmental, Geopolitical, Data Privacy, and other risk category issues to advise procurement decisions. Identify potential risks within the procurement process, conduct analyses, and develop strategies to mitigate and supervise risks optimally.

  • Governance: Develop, support, and implement governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards. Supervise and implement compliance with procurement policies, mitigating risks due to non-compliance. Develop and update procurement policies, ensuring they are aligned with Kraft Heinz standards and objectives.

  • Data Analytics and Insights: Use data analytics to identify trends, assess supplier risks, and proactively address risks within the processes. Setting guardrails around risk management and supporting a risk-driven attitude is key to decision-making. Using data sets to analyze to provide actionable insights and recommendations for optimization. Capture, extract, integrate, analyze, and synthesize data from various sources, business domains, and tools and convert that to valuable information that can be used to measure impact, identify risks, and highlight areas of improvement. Contributes to advancing risk management knowledge, governance, and risk-driven principles across the organization.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with cross-function teams, communicate effectively with partners, and assess procurement-related risks to support informed decision-making. Assist cross-functional teams and partners in implementing corrective actions. Provide training and mentorship to procurement teams on risk management practices, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of governance principles and compliance requirements. Generate regular reports on procurement risk management and governance activities, Ensure effective adoption and utilization of risk & governance framework across the NAZ procurement. Demonstrates effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills. Uses and adjusts style and technique to assist group process and understanding. Be a storyteller to translate the data into a cohesive, compelling story/business case that highlights issues and opportunities for the company.

Expected Experience & Required Skills

  • Hold a bachelor's in business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field or possess a combination of equivalent experience. A master's degree or professional procurement or risk management certification is highly desired.

  • Possess 4 years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, with focus on risk management and governance.

  • Detailed understanding of procurement process, proven expertise in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks associated with procurement. Solid understanding of governance frameworks and their application in procurement. Experience in establishing and maintaining compliance with policies and regulations.

  • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives within procurement, optimizing processes, and implementing and improving processes.

  • Project management and solid analytical, consultative, and diagnostic skills. Prior experience with case development and multi-workstream project management is vital to success in this role.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting sophisticated information clearly and concisely.

  • Sophisticated user of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
