The King's Daughters' School is a private, residential boarding school that serves individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism.

We are seeking Direct Care Assistants to work in a house with 8-12 clients. CPR and Handle with Care training provided.

• Full-time
• Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm
• $14/hr base pay with a $1 shift differential for 2nd shift

Minimum requirements:

• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism preferred.
• Be in good health and free of mental and/or physical limitations which would interfere in dealing appropriately with the client’s handicapping conditions and behavior disorders.
• Clean criminal background (no felony convictions, no abuse, assault or neglect convictions).
• TB skin test and work physical required upon hire.
• Successfully pass drug screen.

Primary responsibilities:

• Maintain a warm, family-or home-like environment in a house of 8-12 clients.
• Perform overnight cleaning tasks.
• ADLs, social skills, behavior management.
• Ensure the residence is being left in a clean and orderly manner.
