The Kinetic Agency is Hiring a Social Media Manager Near Billings, MT

POSITION:

Kinetic Marketing Company is seeking to hire a Social Media Manager at our Billings, Montana office.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Social Media Manager at Kinetic Marketing serves as the agency’s primary advisor on social media channels, guiding both clients and Kinetic’s own social media presence. With extensive experience in social media, this individual actively shapes strategies, creates engaging content, and drives community engagement to meet business objectives. From developing social media strategies to crafting compelling content across various platforms, and reporting on results, the Social Media Manager is adept at leveraging the dynamic nature of social media to achieve results. The social media manager must be able to think strategically as well as roll up their sleeves to implement social media programs for agency clients and for the agency.

The social media manager must be a storyteller, a tribe-builder, someone who knows how to connect with people in a genuine way and help them to be part of something big… and who also can change hats to be the agency’s social media data, numbers and analytics expert. This person recommends social media channels appropriate for client marketing and guides clients in adopting social media strategies. The social media manager coaches clients and agency staff on how to participate in the social media conversation to help grow customer-brand relationships.

The social media manager advises, manages, and monitors the agency’s social media initiatives and participation and works to grow the agency staff’s involvement in and understanding of social media as an agency self-promotion and engagement tool.

Reports to the Digital Director

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create monthly social media content strategies to meet client business goals.
  • Create diverse content for social media strategies, including short-form videos, photography, and graphic elements, for agency clients and Kinetic’s social media channels.
  • Collaborate closely with the client service team and clients to develop comprehensive social media strategies aligned with overarching business goals for both agency clients and Kinetic.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and techniques in social media to incorporate innovative approaches into marketing efforts.
  • Implement and manage social media programs, experimenting with new methods to maximize impact.
  • Monitor social media trends, tools, and applications to inform strategy and increase client engagement.
  • Educate clients and agency staff on integrating social media techniques into corporate culture and products/services.
  • Measure the impact of social media on overall marketing efforts and provide regular reports internally and to clients.

KEY COMPETENCIES & PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Extensive social media experience.
  • Proficient in design and social media copywriting.
  • Intermediate photography skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest).
  • Strong storytelling skills.
  • Ability to create diverse content (short-form videos, photography, graphic elements).
  • Knowledge of social media algorithms.
  • Experience with social media advertising.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere), Canva, CapCut, Hootsuite.
  • Strategic thinking and planning abilities.
  • Track record of exploring and mastering new social media tools and techniques.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to measure and report on social media KPIs.
  • Collaborative mindset for working with client service teams and clients.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in social media.
  • Strong communication and coaching skills for educating clients and agency staff.
  • Experience in project management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 1-year digital experience. Digital certifications a plus.
  • Agency experience not necessary, but preferred
  • Digital savvy marketing individual with expert knowledge of social media platforms
