Role Summary:
The Senior Solution Architect for manufacturing controls and data systems reports directly to the Solution Consultants Manager. As the Senior Solution Architect, you will work directly with customers to understand their operational needs and challenges, using your expertise to propose solutions that enhance their manufacturing outcomes. This role requires proactive engagement with customers to develop trust and ensure that our solutions provide real-time insights and analytics that drive efficiency and productivity improvements. This role is crucial in leading the design, development, and directing the implementation of the solution. The Senior Solution Architect will appoint and collaborate with multiple entities both internal and external to the organization, assembling the right team to ensure customer success is at the forefront of our efforts.
Exciting work you will do:
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Senior Solution Architect position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
  • System Design and Architecture: Develop comprehensive designs for manufacturing solutions, including hardware layout and software integration, to improve manufacturing efficiency
  • Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed quality standards
  • Innovation and Improvement: Initiate and manage projects to trial new technologies and methodologies that can enhance system performance and reliability
  • Process Analysis and Reporting: Develop or direct advanced software solutions that provide real-time tracking and reporting of manufacturing processes, enhancing decision-making capabilities
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with stakeholders to identify system requirements and adjustments, ensuring optimal performance aligned with business objectives
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Provide mentorship and technical leadership to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth

What you'll need:
  • Work Experience: 7 years' experience managing and leading engineering projects in the industrial manufacturing space
  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of skills and experience
  • Analytics/Computer Skills: Experience working with MS Office; ability to learn new software; ability to decide which products to focus on and how best to reach customers; experience integrating software solutions with Plex and/or other SCADA software; proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, C , JavaScript, etc.; familiarity with software development tools and version control systems (e.g., Git); knowledge of database systems and SQL queries; demonstrated knowledge & understanding of Automation standards, Process Control standards
  • Organization Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed; ability to work in fast-paced, continuously evolving, and at times ambiguous environment
  • Cross-functional skills: Ability to work well cross-functionally; provides excellent internal and external customer service
  • Travel: Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events, as needed.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal communications, problem solving, organizational and written/verbal communication skills

Qualifications we prefer but don't require:
  • Work Experience: Previous experience selling to or working within manufacturing environments
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent degree
  • Technical Knowledge: Industrial Network designs and cybersecurity
