Company Overview Remix Market is a furniture and home décor resale store with an ever-changing inventory of vintage pieces, estate treasures, and gently used furnishings. We sell quality items rescued by The Junkluggers to help with our joint mission of keeping reusable items out of landfills. The Junkluggers is a caring alternative to traditional furniture and junk removal with a commitment to enhancing lives, communities, and the environment by donating, recycling, and supporting local charity partners. Job Summary Our Facebook Marketplace / Remix Retail Sales Coordinator is an important team member of our business. They are responsible for posting, promoting, and selling all items through Remix Market, this includes social media channels. If you enjoy meeting new people, creative problem solving, and genuinely care about customer service and your teammates, come help us save the world “One Lug at a Time”! Responsibilities
Timely processing of donated items, including staging, photographing, pricing, determining appropriate sales outlets considering condition, brand and target demographics.
Listing of all items on Facebook Marketplace, Offer Up, and or other appropriate outlets.
Ensure that all sales transactions are handled properly and in line with established cash handling procedures and credit card compliance standards.
Maintain and increase knowledge of resale, thrift, retail trends, and apply relevant learnings to Remix Market Operations.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
1-2 years of thrift store or retail experience
1-2 years of selling on Facebook Marketplace experience or other social media platform
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must – this is a customer-facing role
Ability to learn and use technology and social media to efficiently sell items.
Intense drive for results and ability to overcome obstacles
High standard of performance and sense of urgency to get things done
Knowledge of collectibles, furniture, electronics, vintage objects, and the second hand internet industry is a plus.
