Materials Supervisor
Position Type : Contract to Direct
Location : Onsite Flint, MI
As a Materials Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in managing warehouse operations and ensuring efficient materials management.
Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications :
Responsibilities :
- SAP Expertise : Proficiency in SAP is essential. You’ll be responsible for managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting issues related to the warehouse management (WM) system.
- Shop Floor Support : Provide hands-on support to the operations team on the shop floor.
- Process Documentation : Ensure that all warehouse processes are well-documented and strictly followed.
- Master Data Management : Maintain accurate master data associated with the warehouse management system.
- Engineering Changes : Manage engineering changes to prevent excess inventory or obsolescence.
- Continuous Improvement : Contribute ideas and suggestions for continuous process improvement.
Qualifications :
- Warehouse Management Systems : Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems, with a focus on SAP.
- Process Understanding : Familiarity with warehouse processes, including receiving, put-away, replenishment, and line feed.
- Communication Skills : Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with warehouse personnel.
- Master Data : Understanding of master data management within the warehouse system.
Bonus Qualification :
- JIT Seating Assembly Experience : Previous experience working in a Just-In-Time (JIT) seating assembly operation is a plus.
