The Corporate Communications Intern will help advance and enhance The Joint Commission’s vision, initiatives, programs and reputation through internal and external communications support. Responsibilities include writing for a variety of channels and formats, communications planning assistance, and program implementation. The role also will help communicate and advance the organization’s strategic plan to internal stakeholders.
This paid internship is a full-time summer internship (40 hours per week), including two days per week in the office (Monday and Wednesday), located in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.
• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in communications, public relations or related field from an accredited college/university. Preferably Junior or Senior year.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. AP Style knowledge is a plus. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.• Ability to participate within a multi-disciplinary team as well as act autonomously, when appropriate.• Attention to detail and openness to constructive feedback. • Ambition to pursue a career in corporate communications or public relations.
