We are currently partnering with a leading automotive supplier in the Greater Columbus, OH area, known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and the well-being of its employees.
We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join our team. This is a direct hire position offering a competitive salary ranging from $85k to $125k, based on experience. The EHS Manager will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining Health & Safety, Ergonomic, and Environmental Programs and Systems to ensure a safe and compliant workplace for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager works independently and confers regularly with division, corporate, contractors, customer, and supplier staff specialists. A valid Driver’s License is required for day travel with the occasional overnight stay. A valid passport is required to attend customer and potential integrator/supplier meetings is necessary. Some day travel and overtime may be required to meet customer expectations. The position requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and some of the information in-process can be considered confidential. The Environmental, Health & Safety Manager works in an office environment but may be exposed to some elements such as temperature and noise during time spent in the plant.
Role Summary:
The Environmental, Health & Safety Manager is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Health & Safety, Ergonomic and Environmental Programs and Systems for the benefit of all employees, contractors, and visitors. The incumbent will provide guidance and support to the leadership team to ensure implementation and compliance to all health, safety, ergonomic and environmental standards, and legislative requirements. Environmental, Health & Safety Manager has the authority to stop work, behaviors, or acts which are in contravention of legislated regulations.
