Our staff use a culturally competent, person centered approach to help individuals and their families develop skills and resources to improve overall functioning, to instill hope, and to strengthen resiliency. Our programs work closely with community partners to address health disparities in our neighborhoods while also celebrating the strengths and resilience of our communities. The Clinics offer the following services include, but not limited to: child, teen, adult, and family psychotherapy, emotional crisis intervention and stabilization, developing coping skills to manage mental health symptoms, addiction recovery, forging healthy relationships, managing sadness, worry and loss. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Conducting comprehensive evaluations and psychosocial assessmentsDeveloping treatment plans in collaboration with clients and family members (as appropriate), to identify treatment needs and interventions and review/revise treatment plans to reflect client’s treatment progress and changing problems/goals.Providing individual, group, family, collateral treatment and crisis services/interventionsBe actively self-reflective & self-aware of how clinical and administrative practice impacts clients, families, and the communities we serveApproaching work with an anti-racist lens and open to continuously learning and evolvingLiaising with families, schools, criminal justice, and other community agencies to coordinate careParticipating in clinical meetings, staff meetings, trainings, and supervisionOpen and willing to receive constructive feedbackMaintaining documentation according to the standards and time frames established by the Jewish Board, regulatory agencies and/or funding sourcesMaintaining professional behaviors and ethical standards as established by licensing board, relevant professional association and the Jewish Board policies and proceduresOther duties as assignedEDUCATIONAL / TRAINING REQUIRED:A Master’s degree in counseling, creative arts, or social work from an accredited program, PLUS New York State Licensure or limited permit in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC); Creative Arts Therapy (LCAT), or social work (LMSW) is requiredExperience with documenting in electronic health records and using Microsoft Office softwareExperience with telemental health platforms a plusFluency in a second language is preferredIf you join us, you’ll have these great benefits:Generous paid time off in addition to agency holidays and 15 sick daysAffordable and high-quality medical/dental/vision plans Tuition assistance and educational loan forgivenessFree continuing education opportunities 403(b) retirement benefits and a pensionFlexible spending accounts for health and transportation 24/7 Accessible Employee Assistance Program Life and disability insurance Diversity, equity, and inclusion working groups that are available for you to join, including Confronting Structural Racism (COR), Coalition Against Anti-Semitism (CAAS), and the LGBTQ Steering CommitteeWho we are:The Jewish Board delivers innovative, high-quality, and compassionate mental health and social services to over 45,000 New Yorkers each year.
