Jemicy School, which educates talented and bright college-bound students (grades 1-12) with dyslexia or other related language-based learning differences, is currently seeking an experienced, full-time upper school English teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Applicants should be highly creative, passionate, and dynamic education professionals able to teach a range of English subjects, have the ability to meet the needs of individual students, and be adept at utilizing multisensory instructional techniques to support a broad range of student learning styles.
A bachelor’s degree in English, secondary/special education (or a closely related field) with 3 to 5 years of teaching experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience, is required. Additionally, the ideal candidate would have the ability and willingness to coach an athletic team and/or club, must have strong interpersonal skills, and be committed to developing successful learners, prepared for careers of the 21st century.
