Description

Spend your summer providing a fun, safe and exciting learning environment for children ages 1-5. Teachers enjoy full time hours/pay without working nights or weekends. Teachers lead arts crafts, playground time, special Friday activities and visits to our beautiful outdoor pool with special Splash Pad for our littlest swimmers.

Schedule: M-F 9:00am - 5:30pm

Pay and Benefits

• $13-$15 per hour

What You'll Do

• Create a classroom environment that promotes learning through open-ended activities, materials, and an intriguing environment.
• Implement the age appropriate grab and go curriculum to nurture and stimulate all domains of the children’s development.
• Cultivate and maintain a positive relationship with parents through formal and informal communication on a daily and weekly basis. 
• Foster and develop relationships with other teaching team members, including co-teachers.
• Gear the program towards the needs of individual children taking into account interests, challenges, talents, and individual learning styles.
• Accompany children to and from the swimming pool several times a week. 
• Assist with the supervision of afternoon staff or volunteers in the classroom.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Experience working with young children is preferred

Physical Requirements

Job requires frequent (2-5 hours per shift) standing, walking, carrying and repetitive motions and occasional (up to 2 hours per shift) sitting, lifting up to 20 pounds, pushing/pulling, climbing and stooping/crouching.
