GENERAL PURPOSE

· Assist with events of varying sizes and purposes for the IABC and as needed for the Lower-Level including Thursday Night Pasta Rustica

· Address and correct potential problems that may arise and communicate accordingly with the Banquet Floor Manager

· Execute all duties related to providing excellent customer service to Banquet Center guests and IACL Members

· Assist staff as needed and perform other duties as assigned

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

· Serve food to tables and bus tables

· Serve from buffet and break down buffet line after service

· Assist in kitchen as needed …

· Clean equipment after use

· Break down tables and chairs after each event

· Help with set up prior to each event

· Ensure all needs are met to provide successful events

· Ensure proper storage of supplies

· Monitor adherence to health, safety and hygiene standards

· Ensure compliance with security procedures and ensure alcohol regulations are adhered to

· Assure all policies are adhered to throughout both entities in accordance with established guidelines

Education Required

· High school diploma or GED

Experience & Qualifications

· Related experience in customer service and banquet service preferred

· Well-organized with multi-tasking skills

· Ability to handle stress and remain calm

· Contagious positive attitude

· Ability to work well with a team or independently

· Problem solving skills

· US Citizen with valid driver’s license and identification or State ID if driving is not required to perform tasks

Required skills

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Ability to follow instructions

Physical Requirements

· Will be standing, walking and lifting for majority of shift

· Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. at a time

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
