ISM seeks a Physics and Mathematics Teacher for teaching at our school for AY 2024-2025.

Compensation will vary based on position and positional demands.

The ideal candidates will be energized knowing that the tests and pacing is already built into the curriculum. There are prepaid interactive flip charts to display for each day's learnings. The SABIS System provides prepared presentations and lesson plans for a sub to cover most of our content. We're seeking individuals who are willing to accept responsibility and dedicate themselves to helping students learn while ensuring a safe environment.

Ideal candidates will have teaching experience and/or a passion for educating students in Physics, AP Physics, 3D Printing, Robotics, Calculus, AP Calculus, Integrated Math, and similar courses.

State-required, cleared background checks are required.

Responsibilities:

• Executes prepared materials in accordance with educational system and the provided pacing chart.
• Successfully navigates internal and proprietary teaching platform, will train, or other external resources, as assigned.
• Maintains control of the classroom.
• Communicates with assigned Academic Quality Controllers and School Leadership.
• Gathers and maintains student academic information.
• Maintains safe and supportive environment for optimal student learning.
• Buys into the SABIS teaching methodologies and philosophies - will train.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and fluency in subject teaching areas;
• Ability and willingness to follow curriculum design and planned syllabus;
• Excellent content knowledge and command of concepts in Physics, AP Mechanics, Electricity & Magnetism, and Robotics;
• Command of mathematical concepts to include Calculus AB and Calculus BC ;
• Working proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint);
• Ability to meet and communicate regarding deadlines and course objectives.
