SUMMARY:

The Institute for Family Health is a mission-driven health organization with a rich history. Since 1983, we have grown from a small non-profit with four staff members to one of the largest federally qualified health center networks in New York State, serving over 100,000 patients annually at 29 locations. All Institute health centers use the family practice model to provide high-quality, comprehensive primary care to people of all ages – regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay.

As a family physician at the Institute, you’ll be part of a diverse team of compassionate clinicians who help patients from all walks of life achieve the best possible health outcomes.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Establishes and maintains professional, courteous, and respectful relationships with patients, families, colleagues and other members of the health care team
• Available to patients and staff
• Demonstrates good fundamental knowledge of established clinical practice and use of Evidence Based Medicine
• Demonstrates sound clinical judgment
• Demonstrated appropriate use of consults
• Keeps current with the medical literature
• Provides compassionate, appropriate and effective patient care
• Maintains good quality medical records
• Demonstrates good clinical/technical skills. Establishes and maintains professional, courteous, and respectful relationships with patients, families, colleagues and other members of the health care team
• Demonstrates an understanding and sensitivity to diversity and a responsible attitude towards his/her patients, profession and society.

Family Physician

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited medical school and an accredited residency program
• Demonstrates superior clinical skills
• Demonstrates effective interpersonal, communication, organizational, and conflict management skills,
• Demonstrates basic computer skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to organize care/activities of multiple tasks simultaneously
• NY State Medical License
• Board Certified to respective specialty board
• Current BCLS
• Current DEA Certificate
