Job Description
The Floor Manager Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of dinner. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. He/she is also responsible for providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations, providing leadership and supervision of all team members
  • Responsibility for coordinating and overseeing servers with maintenance cleaning of dining room areas
  • Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
  • Onboard newly hired servers; lead training for newly hired servers; and coordinate, oversee, and lead training schedule for newly hired servers
  • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
  • Manage restaurant's good image and suggest ways to improve it
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  • Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly, and annual revenues and expenses
  • Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
•At least 2 years experience in a hotel, restaurant or related field.
•College course work in related field helpful.
