The Ideal Group is Hiring a PRODUCTION SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVE Near Burton, MI

JOB SUMMARY - Split Shift

“Control Room” environment acting as a call center to be the initial point of contact for down machinery. Helps customer in gathering accurate information and dispatching proper personnel to minimize machine downtime in a manufacturing environment. Interprets data collected to find trends or patterns resulting in value added solutions. Monitor downtime, reports out to leadership and performs follow up activities.

Days/Hours: Monday through Saturday – 12:00pm – 7:00pm

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Performs duties without supervision following established procedures and deadlines.
  • Qualified to operate necessary systems to perform job functions (i.e. MS Office, SharePoint, Maximo). Training provided.
  • First point of contact for machine operator when production has stopped.
  • Receives inbound phone calls, enters critical information into emergency work order database with accuracy and detail.
  • Places outbound phone calls to relay information such as machine down status, dispatches Maintenance to appropriate locations.
  • Follows up with Maintenance to collect any root cause and countermeasure information they can provide. Must be inquisitive and proactive to collect necessary information.
  • Understands how to interpret data and pareto charts in Power BI format.
  • Works with urgency when required.
  • Other tasks/duties as required.

SKILLS

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
  • Excellent clerical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret operating and planning documents, forms, requisitions, safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems without direction from supervisor or teammates.
  • Reliable to answer phone calls without fail.
  • Fast typing with experience in data entry.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability to relay information accurately in a fast-paced environment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Associates degree or equivalent training in specialized area with a minimum 2 to 3 years of progressive work related experience.
  • Client interface skills, knowledge of manufacturing, purchasing, materials and inventory management required.
  • Must have knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Windows.
