Job Overview: We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Host/Host. As a Host/Host, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and pleasant dining experience for our guests. Duties: - Greet guests as they arrive and seat them at their designated tables - Provide menus to guests and assist with any menu-related questions - Manage the waitlist and accurately estimate wait times - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station - Assist with taking reservations and managing the OpenTable system - Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations - Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional manner - Communicate effectively with guests and staff to ensure a positive dining experience Skills: - Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and practices - Familiarity with meat cutting techniques (preferred but not required) - Proficiency in using POS systems for order entry and payment processing - Experience with OpenTable or other reservation management software - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to operate a cash register and handle financial transactions accurately - Previous experience as a dietary aide or in guest services is a plus - Basic culinary knowledge is beneficial for menu recommendations - Valid driver's license for occasional delivery driver responsibilities We offer competitive pay rates, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for career advancement within our organization.
